Our Story
Welcome to the Meyer family’s farm. Nestled in the heart of the Eastern Shore of both Bridgeville, Delaware and Federalsburg, Maryland but yet still 5 miles from either town.
We are Greg & Shayne Meyer originally of Federalsburg, MD. We purchased our 41 acre property in 2004 to raise our 5 children in a beautiful country setting. This historical, yet unique parcel is hidden off of a public road that happens to be in TWO different states. While our homestead and 31ac is off a Private lane. Handy Road -the paved side, belongs to the State of Delaware leaving Maryland’s portion of Handy Road still in its original form, a simple country Dirt Road. We felt this was the perfect invitation for the main entrance of our remaining acreage we’ve designed just for you. We call it the Unplugged Forest of Mason Dixon Outfarm, separating our personal lives from our retirement adventures. All while giving you your desired privacy yet allowing you to still experience the same beautiful things we have so enjoyed over the last 20 years.
We originally named the farm after the historical Mason Dixon Line ‘marker’ that was placed here in 1764 by Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon, as seen in this photo.
We invite you to explore the rich tapestry of nature through our serene but historical walking trails, witnessing the wildlife in its habit and enjoy our vibrant native gardens. Whether you're here to savor the beauty of our cut flowers, a Days Escape or to connect with like-minded individuals during our workshops, every moment is designed to rekindle your spirit. Enjoy another level of relaxation with our camping experiences, where the tranquility of the outdoors can truly be appreciated.
Your journey with us isn't just an escape; it's a chance to immerse yourself in the soothing embrace of the natural world. As you share your moments with loved ones, remember that the uniqueness of your experience here will linger long after you leave. Speak from the heart and let your story blossom, just like our gardens.
We hope our paths cross one day soon.
-Greg & Shayne
